Candice received her B.S. in Counseling and Human Services and M.S. in School Counseling from The University of Scranton. Candice currently holds both a PA and NYS School Counseling Certification. She is a Board Certified Human Services Practitioner (HS-BCP) and a Certified National Counselor (NCC).
Her education and background has provided her with extensive knowledge of child development and the opportunity to work with a wide variety of children of all abilities. She believes in taking a strengths-based approach when working with her students and looks at each child as an individual with his/her own complexities and needs.
Her professional and personal experience has allowed Candice to view challenges as “opportunities” for further growth, rather then obstacles. Candice’s areas of interest include working with children with chronic medical conditions, chronic pain, and special needs. She is passionate about integrating yoga and mindfulness into her work with children, and believes these are two essential components when working with children who have experienced trauma.
