Join one of the most professional and comprehensive Children’s Yoga Teacher Training programs available, and learn to teach a holistic class that uses all aspects of the yoga practice to meet children’s physical, emotional and social needs. Classes incorporate yoga and mindfulness activities that help children connect to themselves & their community, access the power of their breath, develop focus & concentration, find strength, balance and confidence through physical movement, recognize and regulate their own emotions, and learn how to nurture themselves through relaxation.

You will leave training with a deeper understanding of child development, the capacity and confidence to create lesson plans that meet children’s needs, and the knowledge to teach in a safe, engaging and compassionate way.

The emphasis of Level Two training is on deepening and enhancing your teaching. The intensive is grounded in an exploration of youth development from eastern & western perspectives. We spend time learning mindfulness & meditation practices that enhance students’ capacity for emotional regulation, focus and good decision making. Classroom and behavior management strategies that support relationship building and engaged learning are discussed, as are compassionate communication strategies for working with students.

Food: Snacks, tea, and coffee will be provided throughout the weekend for participants, courtesy of Prasanthi Studio. A boxed lunch option will be available for participants for a minimal cost, or participants may chose to dine at several local restaurants which are within walking distance. For those wishing to bring their own lunch, a refrigerator and water cooler is available at the studio.

Purchase a round-trip off-peak ticket ($15.00.) Take the 8:04a train (New Haven Line) from Grand Central Station to Pelham. The train will arrive in Pelham at 8:31a. The studio is a few blocks from the train station. When you exit the train, walk towards exit leading to bus stop. After walking down the stairs---make a right. You should see a gazebo when waiting for the light. Walk straight for about four minutes, Prasanthi Studio is on your right hand side, right next to the tanning salon. If you walk past the Pelham Cafe, or Pet Shop you have gone too far.
