Level Three Training provides you with the tools to effectively create curricula and teach with your own authentic presence.
In this final level of training we spend time learning to develop activities based on your personal practice. We also address the specific challenges of working with teens, and students with special needs. Time is dedicated to practice teaching, feedback on that teaching, and answering questions.
Crystal's yoga journey began after college while working as an elementary school teacher in Oakland, CA. After a long day with children, the rhythmic linking of breath with movement had the effect of quieting her over-stimulated mind. She began to observe herself with more clarity and to unearth with compassion many obstacles on the path to wellness. Yoga was an integral component in her self-care ritual during the completion of her M.F.A. in Acting and soon became a true soul mate.
Argos has 13 years of experience teaching high school English in the Bronx and teaches to pre-service and in-service teachers at Hunter College School of Education. He is a Mindful Schools and LFY Certified Instructor. Argos was a contributing editor of Best Practices for Yoga in Schools and has been featured in The Atlantic and NPR. Argos has also had the honor of sharing his expertise at conferences such as the Kripalu Yoga in Schools Symposium, Bridging the Hearts and Minds of Youth Conference, and The Yoga Service Conference. He’s currently finishing his Ph.D. in Urban Education.
